Sous the cat helping you organize your recipes
Bookmarks stay personal. A shared collection is the recipes this group actually cooks from — a household “weeknight dinners” pile, not a copy of everyone’s whole library. Sharing uses the same private-link model as shopping lists: the owner shares edit or view, and friends open the link in the app and sign in to join.

Share a collection

1

Open a collection you own

In Bookmarks, tap Collections and open the folder you want to share. See Organize & Search if you haven’t created one yet.
2

Share an edit or view link

Choose whether people can add and remove recipes (edit) or only browse (view), then send the private link.
3

Friends join in the app

They open the link in Souschef and sign in. The collection then appears under Bookmarks with a Shared badge and Shared by [name].

Who can do what

  • Owner — rename, add or remove recipes, share, remove people, and delete the collection.
  • Editor — add or remove recipes from their own saved recipes. They can’t rename, share, or delete the collection.
  • Viewer — browse and open recipes only.
  • Web visitor — browse titles and cards. They can’t join or edit until they open the collection in the app. Checking items off isn’t a thing for collections.
The web is for peeking. Adding recipes and keeping the collection in Bookmarks happens in the iOS or Android app.

Use a shared collection

Members can open every recipe in the collection — cook, pin, and more — even if they never saved it themselves. To add a recipe, it must already be saved or created in that person’s library. You can’t drop in a random URL from the collection screen. If you don’t own the collection, you can leave it. You can rejoin later with the same still-active link. Deleting a collection does not delete the recipes. Owner delete is permanent for the folder; members just lose access.
