Souschef is free to download from the App Store and Google Play — no credit card, no sign-up fee. Every feature is available on the free plan. The only limit is how many recipes you can import each week. Souschef Plus is optional: it removes that weekly import limit.

Every feature is free

You can use Cooking Mode, Journal, Meal Plan, pinned recipes, Shopping Lists, shared collections, Pantry, Nutrition, AI Tagging, AI Recipe Translation, AI Discovery, printing, serving adjustment, measurement conversion, timers, and recipe organization without upgrading. Souschef Plus does not unlock those features. There is no paid-only feature list. They are already included on the free plan.

What Souschef Plus adds

Souschef Plus only adds unlimited imports:
  • Unlimited recipe imports — no weekly cap
On the free plan, you can still import recipes (up to 5 per week), and every recipe you import is yours to keep.

Free vs Souschef Plus

The weekly limit only affects new recipe imports. Everything already in your library stays fully accessible — you can still view, organize, edit, search, and cook. Souschef is an independently built app. Souschef Plus helps cover the cost of running recipe imports, keeps the free plan available for everyone, and supports ongoing improvements.
Free users can import up to 5 recipes per week. Once you’ve used your 5 imports, wait for the next reset or upgrade to Souschef Plus for unlimited imports.
