Chef the cat looking dizzy — the app isn't cooperating
If Souschef isn’t opening, is stuck on a loading screen, or keeps crashing, you’re not alone — and the good news is that a few simple steps resolve the vast majority of these issues. Work through the steps below in order, and you’ll likely be back in the kitchen in no time.
Reinstalling the app won’t delete your recipes as long as you sign back in with the same account afterward. Your recipe collection lives in the cloud, not just on your device.
1

Force-quit the app and reopen it

The first thing to try is always a fresh start. On iPhone, swipe up from the bottom of the screen (or double-press the Home button) to see your open apps, then swipe Souschef away to close it. On Android, tap the Recent Apps button and swipe Souschef off the screen. Then reopen the app.
2

Check your internet connection

Some features in Souschef require an active internet connection to work. Try loading a webpage in your browser to confirm you’re online. If your connection is slow or unstable, switching from Wi-Fi to cellular data (or vice versa) can help.
3

Check for app updates

An outdated version of the app can sometimes cause unexpected crashes or loading issues. Open the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android), search for Souschef, and install any available update.
4

Restart your phone

A full device restart clears out temporary glitches that can affect apps. Hold down the power button, restart your phone, and try opening Souschef again once it boots up.
5

Delete and reinstall the app

If nothing else has worked, deleting and reinstalling Souschef will give you a clean slate. Uninstall the app, then download it again from the App Store or Google Play. Sign back in with your account and your recipes will be right there waiting for you.
Always keep Souschef updated to the latest version — updates include bug fixes and performance improvements that keep everything running smoothly.
If the problem continues after trying all of the above, please email support@nekonote.co with a description of what’s happening, your device model (e.g., iPhone 15, Samsung Galaxy S24), and your operating system version (e.g., iOS 18.1, Android 15). That information helps us track down the issue quickly.
