What data is stored
When you use Souschef, we store:- Your account information — your first and last name, and your email address.
- Your saved recipes — everything you’ve added or created inside the app.
- Journal entries — private notes and photos of what you cooked, tied to your account.
- Shopping lists — including lists you share and lists you join.
- Collection membership — collections you own or have joined.
- Meal Plan — your weekly plan of saved recipes
- Pinned recipes — the short-term now-cooking tray
- Imported Recipes history — recent import attempts (see Recipes missing)
Where data is stored
Your data is stored using Supabase, a trusted cloud infrastructure provider. Here’s what that means for your security:- Encrypted at rest — your data is encrypted while it’s stored, so it’s protected even at the infrastructure level.
- SOC2 Type 2 compliant — Supabase meets rigorous, independently audited security standards.
- Private server infrastructure — data is held on isolated private servers, typically AWS EC2 instances.
- Server locations — servers are located in the United States or potentially other countries.
Data sharing
Souschef does not sell your personal data — ever. We only share data in limited circumstances: as needed to operate the app (for example, sending emails you’ve opted into), to comply with legal obligations, or to protect our rights. We do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers.Your rights
You’re in control of your data. At any time, you can:- Access or update your personal information directly within the Souschef app.
- Delete your account and all associated data from within the app or by contacting support@nekonote.co.
Souschef does not use cookies or any similar tracking technologies.
