Souschef’s free plan includes 5 saved recipe imports per rolling 7 days. A recipe counts toward that limit only when you tap Save — previewing without saving does not. Every recipe you save is yours to keep — imported recipes don’t expire, and reaching the limit only affects new imports. Every feature stays available on the free plan, including Cooking Mode, Shopping Lists, Pantry, Nutrition, and AI features. The limit is only about how many new recipes you can save every 7 days. Plus does not unlock extra features. If you’d like to import more, Souschef Plus removes the import limit.

How the free import limit works

  • Free users get 5 saved imports in any rolling 7-day window, from any supported source — Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, recipe websites, photos, ChatGPT, Claude, and pasted text.
  • Only recipes you save count toward the limit. Previewing a recipe without tapping Save does not. Failed or unsupported imports do not count either. See How import quota works.
  • The limit only applies to new recipe imports. It does not limit how many recipes you can keep in your library.
  • Every recipe you import is yours to keep. Recipes don’t expire, and you don’t lose access after reaching the limit.
  • You can keep viewing, organizing, editing, searching, and cooking from recipes you’ve already imported.
The count uses a rolling 7-day window: each saved import unlocks another import slot 7 days later. You do not wait for a calendar week to reset all at once.

What happens when you reach your 5 imports

When you’ve saved 5 recipes in the current 7-day window, you cannot import any more recipes until a slot frees up. You’ll see a message in the app the next time you try to import. Your existing recipes stay fully available. From there you can:
  • Keep using your library — view, organize, edit, search, and cook from every recipe you’ve already imported.
  • Wait until a slot frees up — 7 days after an earlier saved import, that slot becomes available again.
  • Upgrade to Souschef Plus for unlimited imports.
