Every recipe you import is yours to keep — imported recipes don’t expire, and reaching the limit only affects new imports. Cooking Mode, Shopping Lists, Pantry, Nutrition, AI features, and the rest of the app stay available whether you’re on the free plan or Plus. The limit is only about how many new recipes you can successfully import every 7 days. If you’d like to import more, Souschef Plus removes the import limit and provides an ad-free import experience.

How the free import limit works

  • Free users get 3 successful imports in any rolling 7-day window, from any supported source — Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, recipe websites, photos, and pasted text.
  • Only successful imports count toward the limit. Failed or unsupported imports do not.
  • The limit only applies to new recipe imports. It does not limit how many recipes you can keep in your library.
  • Every recipe you import is yours to keep. Recipes don’t expire, and you don’t lose access after reaching the limit.
  • You can keep viewing, organizing, editing, searching, and cooking from recipes you’ve already imported.
The count uses a rolling 7-day window: each successful import unlocks another import slot 7 days later. You do not wait for a calendar week to reset all at once.

What happens when you reach your 3 imports

When you’ve used your 3 successful imports in the current 7-day window, you’ll see a message in the app the next time you try to import a new recipe. Your existing recipes stay fully available. From there you can:
  • Keep using your library — view, organize, edit, search, and cook from every recipe you’ve already imported.
  • Wait until a slot frees up — 7 days after an earlier successful import, that slot becomes available again.
  • Upgrade to Souschef Plus for unlimited imports and an ad-free import experience.
