Pinning is a short-term workspace for what you’re cooking right now — a main dish plus sides — not another bookmark list. Keep up to 5 recipes in a floating tray so you can jump between them without losing your place.

Pin a recipe

You can pin a saved recipe from your library, a collection, or the recipe itself. Tap Pin. A filled pin means the recipe is pinned.
📸 Screenshot needed: recipe or collection with the Pin control highlighted (filled pin = pinned).
You can pin up to 5 recipes. Trying a sixth shows You can pin up to 5 recipes.

Open the workspace

A pill with stacked thumbnails appears over Bookmarks and recipe screens. Tap it to open the workspace.
📸 Screenshot needed: Bookmarks or recipe screen with the stacked-thumbnail pin pill.
The pill hides on other tabs — for example the shopping list and planner — so it doesn’t sit on every screen.

Cook from pinned recipes

In the workspace you can:
  • Open a full recipe
  • Switch recipes with the thumbnails at the bottom
  • Start Step by Step Cooking Mode — your screen stays awake while you cook
  • Add ingredients from all pinned recipes to a shopping list
📸 Screenshot needed: pinned workspace with a full recipe and bottom thumbnails for switching.
Close the workspace when you’re done. Pins stay until you unpin them, you hit the 5-recipe cap, or you sign out.
Pins live on this device only and are not synced. They clear when you sign out. If a recipe disappears, it drops off the tray.
