Included in Free plan Good news — the prep checklist is available to everyone using Souschef. The prep checklist in Cooking Mode shows you all the preparation tasks — things like "mince the garlic," "chop the onion," or "preheat the oven to 400°F" — right at the very start, before the first cooking step begins. Work through the list, get everything ready, and then cook from start to finish without a single interruption. We've all been there: you're halfway through a recipe, something is sizzling in the pan, and you suddenly realize you forgot to dice the onion. The prep checklist exists to prevent exactly that. By surfacing all the prep work upfront, Souschef helps you walk into the cooking process fully prepared and confident. ## How to use the prep checklist Tap any recipe in your library, then tap **Step by Step** to launch Cooking Mode. Recipe detail with the Step by Step button highlighted Before the first cooking step appears, you'll see a checklist of all the prep tasks for this recipe — including prep instructions and oven preheating. Take a moment to read through the whole list so you know what's coming. Tap each item to check it off as you go. Once all your prep is done and everything is checked off, move on to the cooking steps. You're set up for a smooth, interruption-free cooking experience! ## View the full ingredients list While you're in Cooking Mode, tap the list icon to open the full ingredients checklist with quantities and prep notes.
