# Free vs Souschef Plus — what's included

> Almost every Souschef feature is available on the free plan. Souschef Plus is mainly for unlimited recipe imports and an ad-free import experience.

Souschef is free to download from the App Store and Google Play — no credit card, no sign-up fee. Almost every feature is available on the free plan. Souschef Plus is optional: it removes the weekly import limit and ads during recipe imports.

## Almost everything is free

You can use Cooking Mode, Shopping Lists, Pantry, Nutrition, AI Tagging, AI Recipe Translation, AI Discovery, printing, serving adjustment, measurement conversion, timers, and recipe organization without upgrading.

Souschef Plus does **not** unlock those features. They are already included on the free plan.

## What Souschef Plus adds

Souschef Plus is primarily about imports:

* **Unlimited recipe imports** — no weekly cap
* **Ad-free recipe imports** — no ads while importing

On the free plan, you can still import recipes (up to 3 per week), and every recipe you import is yours to keep.

The weekly limit only affects **new recipe imports**. Everything already in your library stays fully accessible — you can still view, organize, edit, search, and cook.

Souschef is an independently built app. Souschef Plus helps cover the cost of running recipe imports, keeps the free plan available for everyone, and supports ongoing improvements.
